Speaker: Alex Johnson

By definition, my job involves me having conversations with lots of different people and teams so I can learn about and understand their various businesses, as well as the systems and processes they use within those businesses. As such, I get exposed to lots of different environments in which people are considering/in the process of implementing some type of Lean principles or methodologies. On top of what’s already a fairly complicated process, we’re trying to determine if software would be able to improve things even further and, if so, convince someone that it would provide enough value that it’s worth spending money on. This exposure, under these circumstances, provides me with a fairly unique viewpoint of the adoption of Lean within the industry.

During this talk, I’ll be discussing the various challenges and considerations that I’ve heard and spoken with people about which seem to be common across our industry, regardless of specific business, as well as some of the approaches folks are taking to address these challenges during their lean journeys. With any luck, people will find this type of knowledge sharing useful.

Learning Units will be provided: Yes
