Hello again everyone, hope your summer continues to be a great one! As Summer begins to wind down – CSINext is winding up! Last month, I mentioned your Chapter Board held its annual planning session for the upcoming year, and since that meeting things have really been moving forward, not only on the Chapter Business front but the Chapter Member front as well.

Well, hello again everyone, hope everyone is well. My apologies for length between columns, hopefully I can make up for the lost time here this month.
The main purpose of a punch list is to identify project items that need to be completed or corrected right? But we should also use those items in future applications, so we do not repeat the failures of the past. In this industry we barely have enough time and money to do it the first time – it is imperative to do it right the first time. And one of the things as industry professionals we can do right the first time is the project schedule.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Mark Ogg, and I will be serving as your CSINext Chapter President for this upcoming year. I have been a CSI and CSINext member since 2013.

I could toss in the usual excuses for not getting this column started long ago….you know like being overloaded at work, being consumed in completing graduate school, “honey-do lists”, labor shortages, and a global pandemic…all of which are true….but truth be told…I just hadn’t gotten around to it. Sounds like a job site excuse right? Well with this first entry that is all about to change.

WELCOME TO CSINext 2017 / 2018!
Hello everyone…where ever you may be I hope each and every one of you are having a great summer! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be leading the Chapter this year. And how much I am looking forward to working with the membership and an outstanding Board of Directors. This will be my third year working with the Chapter Board and I can truly say I have enjoyed every minute of it. Being President of the CSINext will be challenge but one I am looking forward to!

Around this time last year I wrote a blog about my involvement as one of the SME content editors for the Project Management Institute's (PMI) upcoming release of the 4th Edition of the Construction Extension to the PMBOK.

In continuing to maintain the professional development units that obtaining a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) requires I was selected to be one of the Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to participate in the overall content review of the upcoming release of the PMI’s 4th Edition of the Construction Extension to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) 5th Edition.
