CSI has been a bronze level sponsor of this competition for several years now.  This event brings together 1540 students from 19 states representing 53 schools and 1400 employees from 170 construction and construction related companies.  Mike will spend a few minutes at the beginning of our meeting sharing why CSI is involved in this important event and how you can get involved in an event or school near you.

CEU Presentation:

Speaker: Thad Goodman FCSI, CDT, CCPR

About this Course:
Learning how to present yourself, your company, and your work product is more complicated than you might think. This session provides a solid basis for understanding not only the customary code of polite behavior in society but also the particular nuances at play among architecture, engineering, and construction professions. Don’t let lapses in etiquette stifle your career.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss how a courteous, sincere, and helpful attitude builds respect among all employees and managers within an architect’s office.
  2. Illustrate why promptness and purposefulness are key attributes when scheduling meetings, making agendas, and assigning tasks.
  3. Demonstrate a personal presentation style that is professional but personable, and attentive to others in order to answer questions appropriately.
  4. Appraise the dangers in making exaggerated and unsubstantiated claims about personal knowledge, accomplishments, and performance.

Learning Units will be provided: Yes (LU)
