Presentation:

Speaker: Heath Warner

About this Course:

Indoor air quality is always a concern. Our health is dictated by the air we breathe. In the day and age of silica regulations and viral concerns what does this mean for our projects? How do the decisions made during construction effect the long-term health of the structure? This program looks at not only how to ensure healthier jobsites for workers, but ultimately safer and more effective spaces for the end user.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify the major potential airborne particulate hazards for construction to include viral, dust, silica, CO, CO2, and mold.
  2. Discuss efficacy of various filter alternatives for airborne contaminants on projects.
  3. Determine long term costs and effects of utilizing a permanent HVAC system during the construction phase.
  4. Show how advanced temporary climate control equipment can offer a more cost-effective safer work environment and better finished product for the end user.

Learning Units will be provided: Yes (LU/HSW)

Speakers Bio:

For over 20 years Heath Warner has helped solve construction related issues for contractors, architects, and building owners using various materials and supplies for their projects. Now working as the Climate Control Specialist for the Chas. E. Phipps Company he is advocating those same parties to work more closely together, take a step back, and look at the entire construction process avoiding many of those issues through a little additional upfront planning. He is a member of Ohio Concrete and CSI, CDT certified.
