Certifications, Programs, & a Hack!
Hello again everyone, hope your summer continues to be a great one! As Summer begins to wind down – CSINext is winding up! Last month, I mentioned your Chapter Board held its annual planning session for the upcoming year, and since that meeting things have really been moving forward, not only on the Chapter Business front but the Chapter Member front as well.
The Spring Certification window results were released in late July. CSINext had (4) members receive their certifications. CSINext would like to extend a very hearty congratulations and job well done to the following CSINext members for their achievements:
Matthew Bell CDT
Jason Hicks CDT
José David Mejías Morales CCS
Staci Seyer CCS
In September, Chris Bennet of Bennett Build will be presenting “Building Bad Slabs: How to increase costs, and reduce quality in polished concrete slab construction”. I’ve known Chris for the last several years, and not only is he a great technical resource, he’s a passionate and excellent speaker. So be on the lookout for the September Chapter Meeting invitation coming out soon!
I would be remiss if this month’s message did not recognize the incredible efforts of our Chapter Treasurer and “Chapter Electronics Guru” Daniel Hargreaves. You may have noticed Daniel’s recent blog about the CSINext website suffering a hack attack earlier in the month. Thankfully, the robust security measures that have been put in place protected everything, and while I say the “data just needed to be reloaded” from the backups, it would not even begin to reflect the amount of work and hours Daniel spent getting everything back online and operating correctly. It was an eye-opening experience and honestly mind numbing for me, to to look at (and much less understand) what goes into building and maintaining the Chapter website. So, cheers to you my friend!! You are greatly appreciated and we Thank You for all your dedication and passion with this Chapter!
This coming Thursday, August 11th, at 1PM EST / 10AM PST the Chapter Board will be having its monthly Board meeting. Have questions, comments, suggestions, or want to volunteer with CSINext? Reach out to us and we will be happy to talk with you!
Till next time,
When you subscribe to the blog, we will send you an e-mail when there are new updates on the site so you wouldn't miss them.
