About the Speaker:

Debra Powers has been in the door and hardware industry for 9 years. She started in Charlotte, NC with Burgess Sales in Division 10 and 8 then moved to Dallas, TX to work for Buell Door in 2006. When Buell Door closed shortly after her arrival she became a counter sales/project manager with Dallas Door and Supply for five years. She left that position to take on a larger role as an account manager/project manager with Fairway Access. 

Some of her projects include Bank of America 901 Main Building downtown Dallas, Hunt Oil Corporation, The Fountain Building (electronic access control for the EPA), The Medical Center of Arlington, Massage Envy, European Wax Centers, Waco Hilton, Tulsa Hampton Inn and Austin Sheraton. 

She has taken on a roll of Architectural Representative with Hager Companies out of St. Louis since 2011 to assist architects in their projects and provide specification writing for their convenience.  

Debra has door, frame and great hardware knowledge and has filled a roll in the Dallas community serving not only the general contractor but also the architects who design their projects.  Her 17 years of teaching experience along with her knowledge base in hardware and codes afford her the ability to offer a valuable services in the form of:

Debra desires to assist and advise in areas of her expertise to offer a real and valuable tool to the architects,  contractors and owners in our community who are working in a tough economy to provide the same.
