Well, here we are again — another story from behind the curtain at CSINext.org. You might have noticed some hiccups on the site lately: logins not working, photo uploads stalling, profile pages misbehaving. Turns out, they weren’t just random glitches.
Our Joomla site was hacked. Not once. Not twice. But three times this year. And every time, we patched, rebuilt, and re-secured — only to find another clever exploit waiting in the wings.

It has been far too long since I’ve contributed to The Artichoke’s Life. My goal is to change that and get back into the groove of regular contributions. At some point we had a very minor hack last year. I rebuilt the pages utilizing a backup database. We have been able to save our 15 years worth of articles and history. However, the registration, image upload, etc... processes has suffered or been unfunctional from the rebuild.
With that, I'm working behind the scenes in an attempt to 'start over'. So if you are subscribed, ignore the old post showing up in your inbox.
