A little help from my friends

I need your help... How many times have we heard that? 2012-13 has turned out to be a very good year for CSINext. But it is one of those things that no one person can do it alone. I'm still looking to work in the background. With another year behind me I have mentally made the commitment to keep CSINext on track and make this next year better than last. CLICK HERE if you are interested in volunteering… Remember it take a village to raise a virtual chapter.

I remember how CSINext started off strong and it filled the missing gap in CSI for the members. Hopefully over the past year you have seen some of those benefits and had those gaps filled. We will be starting our next fiscal year in the next 30 days and we will have a new President (Robert Huserik) and President-Elect (Cynthia Belisle). Here are our goals for 2013-14:

  • 8 programs, AIA/CEU accredited Webinars
  • Find 2 volunteers to take over programs
  • Monthly President Articles posted on the web
  • Monthly Board Meetings

As you can see, the goals are just a beginning and not extremely taxing. I will continue as Secretary and work on securing Programs. If you are interested in stepping up to the plate, please call me at work (972) 788-0078 or email me. Don't worry about being left out to dry if you do volunteer, I will be here every step of the way to help and encourage. If my support isn’t enough, I borrowed some text from Institute’s call for volunteers last February.

The benefits of volunteering include:

  • Networking and collaborating with building experts across the design, building materials and construction disciplines
  • Creating products and services to meet the needs of a changing building design and construction industry
  • Enhancing your resume with hands-on work to improve project delivery
  • Recognition and promotion of your expertise in a particular area

... and now for something completely different
No piece of paper can be folded in half consecutively more than 7 times (doubling factor... you end up folding 27 == 128 sheets of paper).
